Madrid, September 13, 2022 - LaLiga and StadioPlus, together with Vegas City Limited, today announced the signing of a strategic licensing agreement on a joint project in the Decentraland metaverse.
StadioPlus is a Spanish company that provides technology and guidance to the sports industry in connecting it to the Web3 world, while Vegas City Limited is a company specializing in the creation of experiences based on the metaverse and blockchain.
Thus, with the aim of reaching out to new generations and boosting interaction with fans around the world, LaLiga has signed a licensing agreement with StadioPlus for the use of LaLiga's Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights and their commercial use in the Decentraland metaverse. Through this agreement, a series of LaLiga-themed land parcels will be developed within the Vegas City district, which owns Decentraland's largest sports, gaming and entertainment areas.
