How to make and sell NFT art?

If you have a digital skill of some sort like photo and video editing or graphic design, you are one big step ahead in your path to becoming an NFT artist. Even more traditional artists with physical work on oil paintings, for example, have an advantage over people with no artistic background. Last but not least, people who are naturally creative have an edge when it comes to any form of art. If you fit one of these profiles and want to know how to make and sell NFT art, keep on reading. Minting an NFT out of anything and selling it on an online platform is actually easy and only requires some basic computing knowledge and cryptocurrency. In reality, the hard work is in creating unique pieces of artwork.

If you are a non-digital artist or a naturally creative person with an idea for an NFT art, there may be a workaround to get your idea out into the NFT world. Compensate your lack of digital skills by hiring an experienced NFT graphic designer or illustrator. This can be done on many online platforms or simply search google for: “NFT Graphic designer”, “NFT Graphic Illustrator” and see what comes up. Then, work with your designer to make an NFT art collection.

Next, hire a developer to design a smart contract on the blockchain or simply go to an online NFT marketplace such as OpenSea or Rarible to upload and mint your NFTs. An NFT smart contract will store the unique properties and instructions to mint the tokens of your NFT art collection.  It will keep track of current and previous owners, and depending on the instructions of the smart contract, you could even receive royalties every time your work exchanges hands.

Finally, make sure to promote your work before launching a public sale of your NFTs. Set up social media accounts to promote your work and get people to know your NFT art. You could also create an appealing website to show your work and announce your upcoming events. Also, set up a timer to create a sense of urgency for your work. Going through this process correctly, highly increases your chances of selling most or all your NFTs.
